The Main Cup

Where indiana is Oliver? Well we love to find quaint places with great coffee and great food. If we can't find one, we send Al out and he finds some forest. Yep. Road trip to the main cup in Lauraville, Al says, is worth the miles and the time. Hey, I'm here with Mayor Brad Clifton of Lauraville. I'm in one of the coolest spots around. I'm in the main cup, which is a very cool coffee shop. I tell you what, if you see the pictures on line, it's quaint. So there's a lot going on in Lauraville and we're going to visit with our friend Jonah. Saybear coming up, but we have Mayor Clifton this morning because Got a few good things coming up in Lauraville. Got a new town hall getting ready to be built here in town and our kid in Odyssey Mon Now what is the Acadian Odyssey? The Acadian Odyssey Mon Here in Lauraville was actually the very first settlement of Acadians in 1765. It's not where they first landed, but it's where they first set up families and established a community called New Velocadita, New Acadia. No kidding. That's where they were coming to establish their New Acadia here in Louisiana when they were deported from Canada. So we're working with the New Acadia project right now to try to locate the original encampment. It's a project that we're partnering up with the UL and Dr. Mark Reese, but were able to get an Odyssey Mon I think it's going to be great. It'll be awesome. Now, tell us about the town hall. The town hall, it was well overdue. Obviously, we're going to be inviting a lot of people from around the country, around the world really, to Lauraville. When you invite someone into your town, you invite them into your home and we want to put our best foot forward. Places Hey, I'll tell you what. I'm really looking forward to this morning.
