Lucky Perk Coffee

Hey there, it's Dave and Tristy from the KTXY Morning Show along with Diana from Lucky Perk and we are at Life Counseling Center today with Lucky Perk Coffee at Work. This is Kate Rose and she works here in Nampa. She's been at this place for about a year. Tell us what you left so much about working here. Well the people convinced me right away. Just how it's a collaborative setting. You just reach out and they're immediately there. And even our supervisors are always What do you need this week? How can we support you with your clients? That just means so much to me as an employee. And then also to our clients. And so being able to just support them the best way we can is amazing. Well we're happy to help you out. They're so good. I love them. Well we're happy to support you. I mean it's important work that We've talked a little bit about how those burdens have become a little heavier here in the last year. And Yeah I'd love to support you. Come see us. Even if we have a little waiting list but we are working so hard to get So working at a counseling center and being a counselor yourself. What are some of the ways that you can help people or that you do help people on a daily basis? Choose to have hope when they come in here feeling kind of hopeless. One thing is just letting them know that someone cares about them. That gives them hope. They come in here thinking I have no reason to live. I have all these hard heavy things that I don't want to deal with or I don't know how to deal with. It's kind of hard for them to find that hope. So just supporting them and saying And I'm going to stand here with you. And if that means sometimes staying there and letting them cry or sitting and crying with them or just It really gives them hope too. And then I feel encouraged with that. Well that sounds Maybe with the people that are just around me in my life just take a little time. It matters so much.
