Georgette's Grounds & Gifts is a fair trade coffee and gift shop located in historic Uptown Maumee. Georgette's is owned and operated by Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio and currently employs 20 people with developmental disabilities.
A little bit about the Georgia, we are owned by Sunshine. We work here with some of our individuals that live at home. They are employed here, they work money through Friday. The thing that I think people We do employ individuals at Sunshine. When COVID hit, a lot of our customers asked a lot about our individuals that did work here, how they were doing, if they were doing okay. And since our individuals have been back here, I feel Coffee, lattes, we have great desserts. We're known for our carrot cake. You can get lunch, any type of lunch special, you can get breakfast items. Our upcoming events, December 3rd, we have our holiday open house. We are open from 8am to 8pm. We will also be open at the gift shop. We will be serving a dinner that evening and that will be roast beef, mashed potatoes. Oh gosh, our holiday Christmas coffee. We will have four different flavors this year. Not sure of all of them yet, but we will have four different ones. And we will be open through December 24th at noon, but if you want to order pies, cookie kits and all those great things that we have, you would have to do that by December 20th.
