Yes, WE introduced the Aussie Meat Pie to the United States in 1991. There've been imitators, but none to match our hand-made, craft product, in taste or quality. You'll know you've found the dinky-di when you taste ours. All of the pies are baked daily right in our Marietta "hot bake" on the historic Marietta Square. Of all the meat pies on the menu, the true Bush ranger always goes for the Ned Kelly pie, a hearty handful of steak, cheese, bacon, and egg, worthy of its notorious namesake. The Ned Kelly pie, very flavorful, very tasty meat pie. Depending on who you ask, this Australian Billy the Kid was either a great folk hero or a cold-blooded killer. But here at Australian Bakery, he's just a delicious handful of meaty goodness. The Ned Kelly starts with a solid doughy foundation to hold in all the savory fillings. A half hour in the oven ensures a pie that's golden brown and firm enough to eat according to Aussie rules.
