Paciugo Gelato Caffè

Hi, welcome to Pachugo Gelato Cafe here in Hermosa Beach. We're located at 1034 Hermosa Avenue. My name is Brigitte Hacker. My mother and I, Monyanne Ibarra, own this wonderful Gelato Cafe that is frequently owned by the locals and the people who are coming to visit our lovely town of Hermosa Beach. I'm a local Hermosa Beach resident and I love serving up Gelato every day to our wonderful customers and residents and people that visit us. We try our over 300 flavors that we make every day. We always make something different. We're going to be making the emmerina black cherry swirl today. This is our emmerina cherry using candied black cherries from Italy. She decorates it and puts a black cherry swirl in the middle. She puts some on the bottom and then she puts more on top after she batches. This is the double milk base so it's really nice and kind of sweet. Just a simple vanilla type flavor that mixes really well with the black cherry swirl. Each batch comes out of this little machine right here. Gelato has less air in it than regular ice cream so it gets those nice peaks. It's really nice and creamy but without the cream our Gelato is all made with full milk. No butter fat, no cream and using all natural ingredients. Nothing artificial and no preservatives. It's really nice and fresh and they're all handmade here daily every morning. We make over 300 flavors and change from daily so there's always something different when you come into the store. We also do take customer requests. Gelato is different from traditional American ice cream in the fact that it's made with milk. We don't use any butter fat, no cream, nothing artificial and no preservatives. It's all made with whole milk as a base, all natural ingredients. So it makes it so it's 70% less fat and calories than regular ice cream. So you're living at the beach, everyone wants to keep a trim lifestyle. So you can't eat Gelato every day just
