Manresa Bread

A village bakery from the acclaimed Manresa team, Manresa Bread offers gourmet, hand-crafted breads and pastries to the people of Los Gatos and Los Altos. Nationwide shipping available now.

Manresa Bread was born out of the kitchen of Chef David Kinch’s three Michelin-star Manresa restaurant. We created Manresa Bread with the vision of becoming Los Gatos’s village bakery. We feature an ever-changing selection of breads and pastries made from local, high quality ingredients using time-honored techniques. A contemporary artisan bakery specializing in old-world style products, we offer hand-crafted, small batch breads and pastries and strive to source the best artisanal products available, from grains and cereals to produce and dairy. With these ingredients, we create our very best interpretation of classic breads and pastries and also feature products that are uniquely our own, utilizing time-honored techniques and baking traditions. Order online for pick-up at the store, or pair a Verve coffee with one of our delicious croissants in our refined cafe space. In addition to our retail location, Manresa Bread is available at the downtown Campbell and Palo Alto farmers’ markets every Sunday, from 9am until 1pm. From our famous weekly specials like monkey bread and country sourdough, to our ever-changing seasonal items like tarts and pumpernickel buckwheat rye, you’ll find high-quality, artisanal products that stand the test of time at Manresa Bread.

What do you think is making this concept work so well? I think we have very clear standards of what we're trying to do. I think there's a lot of determination. They sound kind of cliche, but what I mean by that is, I mean, there are highs and lows in any company, right? We've had team members where you realize, oh gosh, like, because you don't know who somebody is until So we've had people who were And then you start to hear that, no, not so much. And then you got to rebuild a culture when you get that person gone because the employees around that person are a little gun shy, et cetera. So I think it's about being curious. I think it's about being willing to evolve. You got to have confidence in yourself that you can solve problems and believe in yourself that you're going to get through tough stuff. But you also have to have not too much of an ego to say, look, if I'm getting feedback that this thing that I thought was great, people aren't enjoying, I got to hear that feedback.
