For the last year or so, I've been ordering coffee from Verve Coffee Roasters. This review is about one of their cheapest blends, the 1950. When you order coffee from Verve'site, they roast your order within a business day or two and then ship it to you right away. One of the things I love about Verve is their attention to detail when it comes to packaging. And as soon as you open up the package, you can smell how freshly roasted their coffee is. The 1950 is one of Verve's cheapest blends, but it was good every time I made it, even when I made mistakes or when it cooled a little more than I prefer. I thought the 1950 blend was a perfect balance of brightness and sweetness. Most of Verve's coffees, including the 1950, lean on the lighter side of the roast. If you prefer a darker roast, Verve has some of those on their site too. I plan on continuing to order the 1950 and Verve's other coffees, whether you're buying a limited run of an expensive geisha or the cheapest beans they sell, you're going to get great coffee from Verve.
