The Haven Coffee House

My name is Jessica Huckmaker and my husband Jim and I own the Haven Coffee House in Lexington, South Carolina and we also pastor Fleurus Church which meets here on Sunday mornings. My husband and I have been passionate about h We partnered with several international ministries and outreaches just to try to make a difference. We didn't actually realize that trafficking was so prevalent locally and when we opened the coffee house we knew that we wanted it to be coffee with a purpose. We chose to partner with them immediately and made the commitment that a portion of every cup of coffee and coffee item purchased would go directly to Lighthouse for Life. If you love Jesus and you love the gospel, anything that abuses his people is something that's just put in your heart the moment you are born again. So we've been passionate about rescuing people from anything they need rescuing from for 20 years. But when we learn specifically of the tragedy and the impact of what h I noticed lots of people in the community wearing these great looking t-shirts that said Grace Wins and when I see that word grace it means so much to so many people. It means something to me that really touches my heart and I began to ask people what is this ministry with this message of Grace Wins because it sounds And when I found out the name of the ministry Immediately looked it up. I knew that we had to be a part of it immediately and we just connected right at that point. We are passionate about them building their home, about continuing their ministry, about growing their ministry, growing the outreach. We also sell and display their t-shirts in our business. We sell their stickers. They have events here, they meet here, so we make sure that our haven is a haven for those who want to come and be a part of this ministry or grow this ministry or connect with this ministry. There is darkness everywhere but in a community that seems so affluent and it just seems like everything here is great which it is, there still is an underlying problem that I think a lot of people turn their head to for a n Lighthouse for Life is truly shedding light on darkness and bringing this thing to a surface where it can be taken care of reconciled. I would love to see Lighthouse for Life have signage of building a ministry that is limitless in funds where there is no one left untouched in this community ever caught in the trafficking industry again.
