Dougie J's Cafe

American Grill. Breakfast and Lunch Cafe

News, a Valley restaurant dedicated to a fallen soldier will live on, thanks to another veteran. Parker Collins right now, live near Bonneville in Las Vegas Boulevard with this extremely touching story. The restaurant is just about to open in an hour. This is the latest menu for the restaurant, Duggy J's Cafe. The name on the front, well that is the name of a soldier who died in Afghanistan. I have friends that word. I've been there so Douglas Green's mom opened the restaurant in his name. She put it on the market a few weeks ago because she wanted to give more time to her nonprofit, sending care packages to soldiers overseas. She never expected someone who didn't even know her son would buy it and keep its name the same. Never could I believe it. I was so worried that someone was going to come in and not get the concept, but this man walked in, he said, are you son? He embraced me, started to cry. That man who bought it is a veteran and they are back open after some renovations coming up. How that mother is still going to be a part of this restaurant, even though she's no longer an owner.
