For Crepe Sake is an American cafe steeped in French tradition.
For crepe'sake was actually started in the Lansing City market in 2014 I believe and then it moved to South Washington Square a few blocks away from the capital in downtown Lansing. A couple years after that my wife and I are actually the second owners. We bought it two years ago and operated the restaurant in downtown right up until the pandemic at which point we closed initially temporarily with our intent to have a location in East Lansing and then as the pandemic dragged on we realized it just made sense to kind of close up everything there and move it here permanently in East Lansing. We both went to Michigan State my wife is from East Lansing originally after living in Atlanta for a while we came back here and wanted to really have something of our own as part of the community so it was our intent to have something here and it just made sense to move for crepe'sake here. Yeah There are great breakfast place around but something that's a little bit more natural and healthy food so it'sweet and savory crepes it's different than burritos and pizza or omelettes or anything else you can get for breakfast so we think it's kind of a unique environment and unique food offering. We live in East Lansing so although Lansing is not far away from here from us it's really easy to get down so I can pop in and get coffee or get a crepe anytime I want. We have young kids that love coming here and eating all the sweet stuff so we're super excited to be here.
