I'm on a quest to find the best donuts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. And today we are reviewing in-town donuts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Let's get right into it. First up, we're going in with the original glazed donut. First bite for you. It's fluffy, light, not too sweet. The smell of it has definitely given off a lot of vanilla vibes of a yeasty smell too. It's got a nice give when you bite into it. Nice mouthfeel too. I give the original glazed donut an 8. 5. Very strong start. Now Isolated behind the counter what that most popular menu item was, and she said that apple fritter. Right off the bat, it looks Let me open it up and see what it looks A little bit more apple in there. First bite for you. The reason I'm disappointed is because the main flavor I taste when I bit into this was oil, and it completely killed it for me. But all the other components are good. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, apple forward, nice notes of cinnamon and maybe brown sugar, but that oil flavor is just a little too strong. I'm gonna have to give it a 4 out of 10. Last little bit going in with the old fashioned cake. First bite for you. This is a pretty good donut right here. I can see why my wife The taste of vanilla is very strong inside of the donut, and I'm not mad at it because it's complemented well by the chocolate glaze on top. The thing that's really different about it though, is the texture of the inside. It really does taste It's crunchy, but also light too. I give it a 7. 5 out of 10.
