We are family owned and operated. I'm the third generation of Mama's daughter's diner. I'mama's granddaughter and just take a lot of pride in our customer service and being family owned and taking care of our employees and our customers just We have home cooking, we have breakfast, lunch and dinner, we have daily specials, breakfast specials, everything from bacon and eggs to waffles, pancakes, french toast, omelets. We have a baker on site. We make most of our stuff from scratch daily rolls, cornbread. On our daily specials every day we have different meats and veggies to choose from. We have a meat in three sides and we also have good really good salads, good burgers and sandwiches. My grandma actually started in 1958 at Norma's Cafe in Oak Cliff and she sold Norma's Cafe in the late 80s and was going to retire but then decided to start Mama's daughter's diner with her daughters and I was raised working in our Dallas location on Irving Boulevard. Then I helped open our West Plano location about 10 years ago and I live out this way so that I didn't have to commute anymore. We decided to open up in Forney. So it's just in my blood I've been doing it my whole life. I've been raised in it and worked in it and it's just it's my passion. It's what I love to do. Serving people is really special to me. The thing that separates us from other restaurants is our customer service. A lot of our employees have worked with us since we've been here which is almost seven years and we really just take pride in taking care of our customers from the minute they walk in the door making them feel We've even had some come in three times a day for all three meals. So our regulars are visiting with our customers making them feel like Forney has that hometown feel even though it's growing and it's a big city it still has that down home feel. We have a lot of people that have lived in Forney for a really long time that remembered this location whenever it was a cafe back in the 80s. So we have a lot of people tell us about I always worked in the restaurants like in the s I went off to college but I always just came back to the restaurant business always came back working for the family and I just can't really picture myself doing anything else honestly.
