The pandemic has created a difficult atmosphere for most business owners, but downtown Cleveland in particular has been hit really hard. These businesses have relied on foot traffic that has virtually dried up during this pandemic. Without the tourism and all the workers downtown, everybody working remotely and no sporting events, plays, conventions, that still really drove our business. Well, poor Cleveland is the latest casualty announcing today it is closing. We've also said goodbye in the last year to Geiger's downtown location, Lola's greenhouse tavern. The owner of poor tells the sales dropped by about 80% when the pandemic first started. Charlie Eisenstadt says he knew all the way back in April that it was not The thing that's really hard is it's been totally out of my control, which is really what you want as an entrepreneur, as much control as you can. Eisenstadt hopes to reopen the shop in a different location eventually whenever the timing is right.
