Hi, my name is Ebony Blu and I'm the founder of Southside Grimes Coffee Company. We are a mobile coffee bar and roaster based right here in the Woodlawn area. We are passionate about the Southside and that's what you can hear in our namesake. In fact, our goal is to spread love and caffeination across the Southside and we do that through roasting our beans and serving coffee in different places and spaces. And most recently we got a walk up window at Boxville which is in an under caffeinated under beverage area right on 51st street. So we are really making traction and we have been able to also have traction at the Taster Chicago, Luddabilly, Kanday Parade and other different events. This journey was not easy for us. We had started just knowing that were passionate about coffee and passionate about bringing commerce to the Southside of Chicago and this has been transformative in our lives to even make us believe that it's possible to be entrepreneurs and sustain our lives while also doing good for our community. And I know that our goal of having an in store roasting experience in our cafe in the long term is a fabulous idea for the Southside. It will not only help us to power businesses on the Southside with good quality coffee that you can drink, it will allow us to really, really impact those around us through doing dope initiatives We are doing really cool things and we are really excited to win this pitch. That $8,000 can be transformative and really put to use in 2021 and 2022.
