In 1952, Hidetsugu Ogawa started an independent coffee roasting business in Kyoto, Japan. That business evolved over the next 60 years into the Ogawa Coffee Co., Ltd., currently ranked among the top four coffee bean wholesalers in Japan. Still growing, today there are 36 Ogawa Coffee independently-owned and operated coffee shops throughout Japan and one international shop in Boston, Massachusetts. Ogawa Coffee baristas, known internationally for their exceptional hospitality, and honed skills including unique latte art, are some of the most talented in the world, with several world class baristas on staff.
