com with another of our continuing series of videos all about suspenders. Today we're going to talk about jacquard suspenders. Jacquard sounds French because it is. The jacquard weave was invented by Monsieur Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801 in France. We sometimes also call it Jackards in the US. So what is the jacquard weave? Well, it's a special type of weave where the material is woven such that you get a pattern, a raised pattern on the weave, but you're still using the same color thread. There's not It's all woven in. The three basic types of jacquards that we often see are damisks, florals, and geometrics. Damisks are The florals, you see flowers and plants woven into certain cloths. That's a jacquard weave. And then here in the suspender world, mostly what we see are diamonds and checks, the geometrics. And we're going to show you some of those now. We're going to switch to doing some close-ups because that's the best way for you to actually see the pattern in its fullest glory. So we wanted to give you close-ups wherever possible of these jacquard patterns because it's really hard to see the pattern from a distance. It's very subtle. But hopefully in t So we've got these in gray, black, burgundy, navy blue, and a tan or camel color. These come with both the clip and the button style, so you can go either way with these. They also have drop clips, w So here's an example of a new type of jacquard that we just started carrying recently. These are diamond-burst jacquards. And you can see that the colors just sort of burst off the suspender. Now these are not pure jacquards because in the pure jacquards, it's all the same material that's woven together, but it's a raised pattern. These don't have raised patterns, but they are not stamped with color. It's all in the weave, so I call these quasi-jacquards, but they look great. They really do burst off your chest. The red accents in the middle, the petite diamonds, the spacing is similar to a normal woven jacquard, so it really gives that jacquard look, but it gives a real extra dash of color. So here are examples of our jacquard checker pattern, the classic checker board pattern on these, that really j But once again, you can see it's all the same material just woven in a way that you have t We have these five colors available in both clip and button suspenders, the gray, blue, sort of a camel tan, burgundy, and classic black. So all of those jacquard patterns that you've seen once again are available in both clip and button styles. So that's a rundown of our dressy jacquard patterns, the pretty weave that it is.
