The Giving Store

T Our very first one, we're going to showcase the Giving Store. You're also going to get to meet to the coolest ladies I know, Ping and Diane and see how they run the show here. You're also going to hear from Eric Marshall to see So it's time to find out all the good that the Giving Store does here in Sin City. Well how I ended up here, Andy, was because my friend Diane Hodge, who I hardly knew them but now she's And that's what happened. So three years ago, t And I have natural sales skills, natural people skills and it's just a fun and a joy to do that. So it's not really worth, really. I was on the board of Safe House and the previous owner asked me to pitch to the board and I had about two years ago and I said, oh, I'll do it. And came in and as Ping has told you, I had met her and she was the perfect person to come in and do merchandising. We do give our proceeds to Safe House and also the girls from the shelter can come in here and shop for free. They get vouchers for themselves and their c We're here in almost the middle of Henderson and Diane and I happened to live at Lake Las Vegas. We have a tremendous amount of friends there that want to help support us and one of the great ways that they do is by giving us incredible items for donations. Waterford Crystal, fantastic designer clot We never know from day to day, but we know that we're getting quality merchandise and it shows in our bottom line. We get clientele from all over. We do advertise on Facebook so people can look at our beautiful items and come all the way over here to look at them and get them. We draw people from all the Las Vegas area, Henderson, Paramp, Boulder City, we get all of them. We're known as one of the best strength boutiques in Henderson. We are blessed with good business on so many levels. We have a lot of resellers that shop with us because we get a lot of unusual antique type items that they're looking for. We have a whole, in fact the store right now has about six regular customers in here that are in here maybe two and three times a week looking for some really great deals because we do get merchandise in every day and a lot of stuff comes to the floor every day. So we are blessed with fantastic support in the community. We accept donations Tuesday through Saturday from nine to three at the back of the store and we are When we get too many items we either put them out front on the 25 cent rack or we put a half price sale and t Everybody gets a bargain. Our prices, a lot of thrift stores have raised their prices since COVID. Ours have stayed constant. We haven't raised anyt You can still get a pair of pants for five to seven dollars, a s The sweater came from here Ralph Lauren and I do also make this jewel art from Broken Jewelry and all the proceeds go to the giving store and if you have old jewelry that you would As I walked in I was blown away. The diversity, the items that are here. Diane and Ping were wonderful. They gave me a tour through all the aisles. You have shoes, you have clothes, you have dishes, you have everyt There's a luxury boutique area which you have I was such an advocate of domestic violence. I have seen so much of it in the past in families, what it does to families, it tears families apart and it's just my passion.
