The Maserati is a 100-year-old house, and it's almost a home for a hundred-year-old house. We celebrate it with a concept. A concept that should highlight the story, so to reflect on the traditions and roots of the brand and project it in the future. To do this, we chose a car configuration that was more traditional for Maserati, the one of the sport coupe, two seats plus two. The prototype is called Fieri because it's a way for a hundred-year-old sublinear, since the founder of Maserati was one of the brothers, in particular Fieri Maserati, it seemed to us that calling the prototype with the name of the founder was a way to make it a homage and to highlight how this prototype was linked to the centenary. With this car, we want to make a kind of demonstration, the stylistic paradigm of this car represents what we want to be Maserati of the future. So it's a seed for the future, it's not said that we'll see it as it is on the road. We are inspired by one of the most beautiful Maserati of the past, which is also one of the most beautiful penifarina, the 6 GCS of the 54. It is an inspiration, especially in terms of proportions, with an extremely long hood, with a very compact habitat that has moved back, with some paraphras added to the central body on which it rests, with this very low calendar in which to make the paraphras, some of the inspirations of that type, without exactly recovering the shape of one thing or the other, more a question of mood. The designers team of Maserati, a pretty well-received team, are basically 15 people. There was an orientation on what would be the proportions, on what would have been the propulsion of the vehicle, the kind of motorization, the idea of what you wanted to express. But I would say that in the first phase it was more a general idea. From there, it was the first phase of sketching, very free where you go to create these emotional sketches, where you try to learn the idea, the basic idea, the concept, immediately transmitting the feeling of what the finished object should be. From the very emotional drawings made in the process, to drawings always more refined, with the help of virtual models on the computer, photo-touch, dedicated programs, up to the presentation, I would say, also very realistic. All the actors who enter the process phase make the greatness and the particularity of Italian design. Maserati historically, even in its latest models, has very rich, very hot surfaces with vol It is difficult to reach the effect expressed in our drawings only through a virtual phase. We give indications through the pose of certain gestures, that they can define a more or less added material, a richness, but then the real modeling is made by these manual models, which are real sculptors, artists, also in their profession. With this concept we make an evolutionary leap in the future compared to what we saw on Ghibli and Quattroporte. The front is very evolutionary compared to what we saw on Ghibli, so more or less the same signs, but even more powerful. We have an important evolution on the side, where new signs are appearing. Even here, evolution is not something totally new, but actually on the side we have something characteristic of this car. And also the closure of the tail is very particular and unique. It is an object that has very balanced vol And this is the recipe of Italian design. It has signs, surface treatments, details that make it current and that in a certain sense open the road to the future of Maserati design. And then it represents a type of approach that I particularly feel very close to me. The fact that working with a language made of very sober little bits, very elegant aspects, but sportive at the same time. I think that this object can be produced by maintaining a fairly high percentage of similarity with what we are seeing. We tried to make a car of the present and the future, but without relating to something of fashion, of destiny to pass. We have always tried to make cars that were beautiful and out of time. The objects that they And we would We are quite convinced that we will go in that direction.
