Food has always been a source of memories and this kind of birthed out of a Thanksgiving that I made caramel. Everyone loved it. It brought them back memories of Fannie Mae chocolates up in Chicago. It says we're doing something right. I am Michael Schmidt, owner and chocolatier of Sweet Schmidt's Candy here in Evansville. It's been fun coming up with all kinds of new flavors and concoctions. We want community involvement. That's why we have our Ambassadors Club provides foundation for the community to be able to give some insight to what they would To help with tasting and get a profile of candies to be known for good quality product. And Reesy made his name by making a good product and people were remembering that. That's our ultimate goal. It has been an extreme joy to see the look on people's faces when they taste something for the first time and them coming back making a beeline just for that one product. Sneaking over and trying something new. When they're happy, the kids are happy and they enjoy it. It'll make that memory that mom took me to the candy shop and it may have just been one time but there's a potential they're going to think every Saturday morning they went down to the candy shop to pick out a marshmallow and that will be something that they'll tell their kids. It was a good memory embedded in their soul and that's what we want to do. It's what we're here for.
