Let’s get right down to it. Most meat, available for retail purchase in Ventura, is poor in quality, shipped from other states, and comes largely from industrial farming operations. We’re not the type to name names, and we don’t feel we need to. With that said, we’re here to do something about that. We believe that any food is at it’s highest quality, when it’s produced locally, raised humanely, and left to it’s natural devices as often as possible. In regards to meat, that means that we aim to source from farms that give their livestock ample pasture, feed them their natural and obligate diets, and of course are small, family-owned operations. We also want to relay to you, our customer, that we have a profound respect for the process of how meat products get to your plate. Quite simply, there is a right way, and there is a wrong way. We’ll strive to always support, help maintain, and be a strong part of the right way.
I started shopping at the Ventura Meat Company because I Watching somebody cut your steak the way you want it is always kind of awesome. Everybody here was not only friendly, they were knowledgeable, they knew about their product. They were willing to answer any questions, helped me out with recipes. It was wonderful. It's delicious first off compared to what I was eating before, When I don't cons Product is as good at steak as I've ever had. You don't have to do much to it in order to cook it and it tastes great, so it makes it really easy to cook for the family. We really love the whole farm to table concept and I know that here at the Ventura Meat Company, they take that really seriously. And we know that we're getting a good, healthy, ranch raised, grass fed product. They're also very knowledgeable on the type of meat where it came from, what it was fed, everything that you would want to know about where your food comes from. Taste it yourself.
