When we opened in 85, I was surprised at how well embraced were by the community. Were the neighborhood grocers, and our customers immediately formed a bond with us and our food. After working in a pork store for most of my childhood, I came up here as a first generation 21 year old butcher from Brooklyn, looking to introduce what a traditional Italian salamoriya and butcher shop was The store began to evolve into a collection of my life, beginning with my family's old world recipes to new creations. We're a part of our customers' lives, and many of them come to see us every day. That's why when you walk into my store, you feel I started coming to INS five years ago when I moved from Italy. I love to come here because everyone is really friendly, especially when I moved and I didn't know the name of American products. I could speak Italian and it was really nice.
