We a small locally owned and operated Bridal Boutique servicing Topeka and surrounding towns. **We do not buy previously owned gowns new or used**
“Let us be the start of your happily ever after” Hello, Let me start out by introducing myself, my name is Katrina Fraise-Fluellen. I am married to Shawn Fluellen and we have a son Shawn Jr. (original I know). My husband and I have both served in the Army, he was Active duty and I am still in the Army Reserves. I also work full time for the National Park Service here in Topeka. I am also a year into my Doctorate degree. While I would love to run my business fulltime I just can’t seem to find enough hours in the day (smile). Hence my odd hours. But enough about me! Here is a little about our store: I started Happily Ever After, because I was a bride on a budget and began to realize how quickly you fall in love with a gown you simply cannot afford. My vision didn’t stop there, if the bride choose to purchase their gown they will not break the bank doing, at least not in my store. I carry sample gowns that have never been worn outside the store or altered. This allows me to carry a variety of gowns to include designer gowns at a portion of the price! All off my dresses are off the rack. Which means if you see it, you like it, it’s yours today! No waiting! I do have vendors I order new gowns from, but be aware you will pay a new gown price. All items are sold as-is (again these are sample gowns and have been tried on a lot in some cases, but are in generally great condition). My goal is to provide you with great customer service and a gorgeous gown within your budget! Frequently Asked Questions 1. What is a sample gown? These are gowns that other bridal store order as their “try-ons” for brides. They are used to try on only inside the store. I go buy them and can offer them to you at great buys! 2. Where do you get your gowns from? All over! You name it California, New Hampshire, Texas, Oklahoma. I am always on the lookout for store closings. I also work with Mary’s Bridal where I can order new gowns and a few other bridal companies. 3. How long have you been doing this? We have been open since September 2013. We have not been around long, but I really enjoy what I do! Most importantly I have been a bride on a budget, so I understand! I took a simple idea of making brides on a budget feel gorgeous and well here I am today! I hope to be around for many more years! 4. Why are your gowns so cheap? Cheap?? How about affordable. I am a shop-a-holic for a good bargain, the more I shop, the better prices I find and keep my over low, the more affordable my gowns are. 5. Do you buy gowns/consign gowns? No, we do not buy gowns from individuals. 6. Who can make an appointment? How do I make appointment? Only the bride as they will need to answer some question that only the bride may know. This will cut down on confusion. You can call for an appointment at 785-220-4285, email [email protected] or you can book your own appointment through our Facebook Page. 7. Who can I bring to my appointment? Whomever your heart desires! Just be aware more people = more opinions. I suggest you bring close family and friends whose opinion you value. Kids are welcome, but must be well supervised. 8. What should I wear to my appointment? Undergarments, especially underwear are REQUIRED! If you feel more comfortable with Spanx or any other item like this bring it with you. Any shoes will do. If you have shoes similar to the height you will wear on your wedding day please bring them. FYI: I do not carry strapless bras, please bring your own. 9. How long are your appointments? Generally I block off 2 hours. I would allow at least 1.5 hours. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment please call, I am will not be offended if you cancel, I understand life happens. 10. Do I need an appointment to come take a look around? No. Feel free to stop in during open hours.
