House of Fashion Bridal Salon & Tuxedos had humble beginnings as a dress and alteration shop in the early 1960's. The owner began carrying bridal lines and transitioned to a full-service bridal shop with bridesmaid, mother's, and flowergirl gowns. As business grew, a need to expand resulted in the opening of the main store on 21st & J in 1996.
For 58 years of business, yet another announcement here. Sacramento's House of Fashion, bridal salon and tuxedo will be closing its doors. The owner says that e-commerce has made it very hard to compete in the bridal industry. They say brides would try the dress on in store, but then buy it somewhere else online. Plus they are also going to be retiring soon, so they have decided after 58 years to close up shop. A special needs athlete.
