Breakfast and lunch restaurant in Manhattan Beach.
Our building was constructed in 1908 as a home, and was used as a flower shop, real estate office, and for other purposes before Uncle Bill McElroy opened Uncle Bill's in 1961. Or rather, half of it was Uncle Bill's - the south end was a barbershop until 1999. Paul Allen VanAmburgh bought the restaurant in 1973, remodeled the place a bit, and added a few tables. In 2000 the restaurant expanded again into the space vacated by the barbershop, and we opened the outdoor patio. The restaurant remains in the Van Amburgh family, who are happy to welcome you for breakfast and lunch every day.
Uncle Bill's pancake house, a Kate May family tradition since 1980. Serving hotcakes with your favorite toppings, eggs of all kinds, and many varieties of lunch items. We offer beachfront, pet friendly outdoor dining. We are open seven days a week from 6. 30 to 2. New this year, come check out Breakfast, Burgers, and Shakes for dinner Friday through Monday. We are all family at Uncle Bill's and pride ourselves in fast, excellent service with a smile. Enjoy the movie and come on down to visit Bill and Betty at Uncle Bill's.
