Here's a quick easy video on how to remove cranks. Today I'm going to be using the Part Tool CPW7. So tying the base on into your basic righty-tidy lefty-loosey. I messed up here. I had the center pin in too far so I ended up having to loosen that up. Tying this down as far as you can, you need it by as many threads as possible. What happens here is that once you start tightening that center pin, and once again you just turn it to the right, it ends up pushing against the inside. In this case it's pushing against the square taper bottom bracket. And that's what actually pulls or pushes the crank out.
