My name is Andreas Hessler and I'm here at Inner Bike 2010 showcasing our 2011 Rocky Mountain Bikes products. Right here we have the same bike that Jeff Cabusch rode to 8th place of the World Championships. This is the 2011 Carbon Fiber Element RSL which is 100 mils of travel and also comes in an MSL which is 120 mils of travel. The frame is 2. 06 pounds width of shock so Jeff Cabusch for his World Cup Racing builds it up to about a 21 pound build kit. So this is a full suspension bike absolutely awesome. Engineering department at Rocky Mountain Bikes has come up with some amazing technology. We've got angular contact bushings and throughout the entire bike we have only one set of bearings that saves 100 grams over the entire frame. Also allows the contact points where the linkages are to be 110% stiffer than standard roller bearings and clamps. We also have the new redesign for 2011 Slayer which also uses the patented smooth link suspension but also uses a straight up geometry. Straight up geometry is a 76 degree seat angle with a hydration pack wheel don'take into account and with the sag that you want to be climbing in a 73 or 74 degree seat angle so that's your optim So if you start a little ahead of that straight up sag to the perfect position and you're climbing unbelievable. 165 mils of rear wheel travel on the Slayer matched up with 160 mils in the front. This bike climbs amazing and descends amazing. If there's one bike and you're not racing that's the super bike. You could do some super D's or some Enduro DHS on it. It's an able bodied performer. Along with both frames you have the direct mount and the E-type derailleur by Shimano which allows us to form fabricate the bottom brackets either using the carbon, the natural inherent properties of carbon fiber and the BB92 so you get wider, you get stiffer. All your pedaling goes into the frame so it's a power movement forward and again on the Slayer the bottom bracket is gusseted because we're not restricted by a band on the front derailleur. We can actually increase the stiffness of the bottom bracket. Again pedal power goes pushing you forward you're not losing any of it to sway on the frame. That's the two major new platforms for Rocky Mountain Bikes in 2011. Look for them the element and the Slayer.
