G'day guys, Steve here from WA Gravity & Juro. Just want to welcome you back for the 2016 series, sponsored by Chain Reaction Cycles. So we're giving away lots of money and lots of gift vouchers this year, and hopefully you can join us and share in those prizes. Firstly, obviously thanks again to Chain Reaction Cycles, Firefly Sports Nutrition, three Chili's Trail Design and Construction that were celebrating their 10th year in the industry this year. Common Ground Trail Booting, Foot Kills Cycles, EMR Suspension Specialists, Prodigy Painting, IGA Belier, Ayrich Simons Cinematography, Loan WA Asset, Finance and Leasing, Pedal Parsels, Mandra, Murphy's Irish Pub, and of course Darren Smith Videography, who prepares the long videos after the event doc Kicking off round one in Kalamunda, it's going to be something very different, it's going to be a night race. That means you have to bring your lights. Obviously it's a four stage race and you will need to have your lights. We're starting at 7pm so the sun is setting, there will be a bit of dusk around, but once you get into properly stage two you definitely need those lights, so make sure you bring them. That will be essential for the race. The registrations close this Tuesday, so make sure you j Once you sign up you've got your profile set up for the whole year, and that's an easy case of j We've also introduced Male Expert, there was a huge field in the male sport last year, so we decided to skip that up to make that a little bit more competitive. So the top 30 of the male sport should be signing up for the Male Expert. That'surely to have some exciting racing throughout the year, and obviously the elite male and female will be open. There's no age categories on the elite, so anyone who feels that they're good enough to join the elite crew who also are entitled to the cash prizes if they make it onto the podi So sign up to the elite if you think you're into it. For the elite we've also got $50 in third place, $80 in second place, and $125 for the winner of Male Elite and Female Elite for each round. We're also introducing the Wage Whippets in 2016. Pretty excited to get the under-13s racing in Gravity & Jiro, and we hope that this really affordable entry of only $20 should entice the younger under-13s to participate. So the events for 2016, we'll just go through them quite quickly. For round one it'll be Kalamunda, of course the night Jiro on February 27th. Then we head off to Pemberton in round two, everyone's favourite weekend getaway down there for April 17th. Then we'll head over to the National MCBA Gravity & Jiro series round three, which is round three of the WA Gravity & Jiro series as well. And that's off at Three Chillies Farm in Shittering. That'll be an awesome weekend on June the 4th and 5th. For round four we head to Margaret River. Again another great getaway for the mountain bike competitors and the community there. On July 17th we'll head into Margaret River at the Pines. Thanks again to Common Ground for the amazing trail work that they're doing out there at the moment. We're looking forward to some new trails there for our race in July. Then for round five we're heading to the Goat Farm. Very challenging course, gives us a lot of opportunity to experiment and try new things because there'so many different trails out there we can link all different things together and make a very unique format for each round. That's on August the 21st. Then finally back to Linga Longa or Bailing Up for October 1 and 2. So we hope you enjoyed the 2016 Chain Reaction Cycles WA Gravity & Jiro series. Whether it's just to meet your mates, a bit of fun, fitness or even for first place. Hope you have a great series and stay safe and I'll see you out on the trails. .
