My name is Joey Romero and I'm a barber at Chris Barbershop in Lakewood, Colorado. I'm Louis Romero, I'm a small piece of Chris Barbershop, Colorado, and I'm a barber at Chris. What I'm inspired by as a barber is everything around me. From the guys I work with to the gentlemen who come in and sit in my chair. I find motivation and inspiration everywhere around me. My family, my kids, that's where it all starts. That is spawned so much for me. I don'think I have that drive every day to get out of bed and do what I do. Chris, what it means to me exactly is, I think a bit more is a lifestyle. The way you feel, the way you look, look crisp, you feel crisp, the way you feel on the daily and the way you present yourself as a man. I don't feel Haircuts easy. Anybody can go give a haircut. But what I do is something in my mind, something bigger than that. Right now, Chris, I feel We're just barely scratching the surface right now. I take care of the old, the young. I take care of everyone. Chris is about community and about culture. I got into the hair industry years back and my grandfather, I remember him cutting hair in the backyard, he was a backyard barber. But I remember him doing that when were kids, he cut my hair and my brothers. My grandfather would always do that, he was a jack of all trades. And that inspiration came from him. Barbering is about community and about culture. I don't know what a celebrity barber is. From a trash man to a tycoon, what brother always says that, no matter who'sitting in your chair, everybody's the same. Everybody gets the same Chris haircut, everybody look and feels crisp. We're not going to d And that's part of taking care of your community. It's part of the Barber Shop culture. That's where it all started. It all started with family. Once again, we come back to that. Chris was based on family. And the shop happens to be the shop that we grew up getting our hair cut at. 61 years in business. So walking into that barber heritage, I couldn't be more proud to do what I do every day. The future of Chris is whatever the community allows us to be. And it's fun because they backed us and allowed us to grow. And that's the biggest thing. There's East Coast barbers, there's West Coast barbers. Well, we happen to be the no-coast barbers. I always say for us at Chris that there's good and there's hood. We live in the middle.
