Well today has been officially declared La Segunda Central Day in Tampa celebrating the 100th anniversary of that bakery in the Tampa Bay. Staple the history of La Segunda Central Bakery starting with a soldier's personal vision in the late 19th century. Out of war came Juan Morris's family and his love for the taste of authentic Cuban bread. The popularity of the bakery evident by the big names who showed up to celebrate at the ceremony today. Hillsborough County Commission even presenting the long-standing bakery with a proclamation. Speakers at today's event included Col Mayor Bob Buckhorn. It's the story of Tampa. I mean it's an immigrant family who came here who worked hard, who built a great business that hired a lot of people that created a tradition that they could pass on to the next generation. So it's a uniquely Tampa story but it's a special day for this family. The customers always come back and all our customers are wonderful. She's worked there for 42 years it'so awesome.
