Offering an eclectic variety of donuts!
We're celebrating AAPI Heritage Month. We are shining a spotlight on a multi-generational 30-plus year staple in Sacramento called Sweet Dozen. Each rolling pin on the North Thailand shop wall represents each shop the Laos family owned business has opened. The doughnut has been rolled out to siblings who are putting their creative spin on their parents' legacy. Their parents were refugees from Laos and had stayed in a camp in the Thailand before coming to the U. S. My dad had experience when he was over the camps doing baked goods and so that was kind of what he was working in at the grocery store. He was in the bakery department doing breads and that kind of evolved into doughnuts and pastries. With that he kind of had this entrepreneur mindset of opening up his own business. And Sweet Dozen will be creating off-many doughnuts with Asian flavors To try them just visit Sacramento's first ever AAPI Night Market. This Friday night at the Capitol Mall. Tickets are on sale right now. You can learn more at abc10. com.
