Rheinlander bakery is home to some of the world's most treasured baked goods the way you remember from grandma's kitchen:strudels, kuchen, pastries and cakes, cakes, cakes. We offer gluten free and sugar free selections that are just as delicious.
We are a German bakery with lots of European pastries and cakes. Our goodies are made from scratch with lots of natural ingredients at our retail bakery in Arvada, CO, in the heart of Historic Olde Town. We are the hometown bakery here, since 1963. Our mission is to treat and serve our community. We do this by offering you an abundance of wonderful pastries and by tithing our profits from them with people in need in our area. We offer great jobs that pay a livable wage and have grown over the years to a company of over 20 employees. You will find us all full of passion for what we do! Winner of the prestigious entrepreneurial spirit award, Maro and Ed Dimmer, owners of Rhinelander Bakery, recognize for their strong community involvement and for celebrating 50 years as an Arvada business. It's a family bakery. My parents came in 1963 when it was still called the Arvada Bakery and had been so for nearly 10 years. So my parents fell in love with this site because it allowed us to live above the bakery and then we could all come to work. Today, my wife and I run the bakery and we are known as Rhinelander Bakery and as such we've grown to a staff of about 15. Rhinelander Bakery is a really old fashioned, old world bakery. It is so delicious. We make everything right here from scratch. In addition to being old world, we're also very innovative bakery. We offer gluten free, sugar free. So it's an old world bakery with a sweet twist for the future. Started out doing primarily donuts and bread. Today we do neither one. So it's really a matter of keeping up on it, looking to see what it is that people want. And we've worked really hard with the other merchants in Old Town, with the City of Arvada on the renovation plan. We have seen a new vibrant downtown right now. It is so awesome. We have restaurants. We have beer companies. We have wider sidewalks, pedestrian friendly environment and people just love coming down here and spending an afternoon and sitting under the We also work in depth with our community. So far so that not only do we work towards assisting other community events, whether it's the historic Old Town or whether it's going to be the Arvada Food Bank or the Ralston House. We look at the larger community. We have active programs with the American Red Cross and so on. The City of Arvada is one of those very few jewels nationwide in that it has such a fantastic relationship not only with the citizens but with the business community. Being recognized with this award from the City of Arvada was really quite a surprise, especially since we're so small. It's not something that were looking to get, although recognition is always appreciated and I can say I'm totally flattered by it, h Receiving the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for Rhineland & Bakery really clenches what our bakery has done over these 50 years and how hard we have worked and to be recognized for it in such a great way is absolutely fantastic.
