Today is a super exciting day here in the shop. We have our new flush mount metal tech tail lights for t We're going to go through and do an entire installation. The only t Without further ado, I guess let's just go ahead and get into t We do offer t So we have a JK model, a JL model, and even for those Gladiator owners, we have one for you. Obviously, And so we spent quite a w So essentially, there'some really cool t As you can see, it is actually a metal housing. So it kind of matches those aftermarket b The three individual brake lines have a really, really cool design to it. There's actually a mini light bar back here for the reverse light. So the reverse light performance is some of the brightest available. One of the neatest t And so you'll notice there's t And if you look on the back of the light, there's actually t So that way people be But it really just attracts their attention. And it'super, super neat to have a brake light shooting a stop light onto the ground for you. They are adjustable. So depending on your ride height, you can orient how far you want that bar back. But it's just somet And I love it. After seeing these installed on a ve But it also is just something completely different that everyone in traffic kind of looks is So t So whether it's the Jeep Wrangler JL, the JK, or the Gladiator, fully plug and play, not going to cause any dash errors. And that's regardless of if you had the LED package from the factory or the standard option, halogen lighting package. One t So I will cover how to swap those from the factory tail light into our tail light and how to plug it in. Luckily, it's all super simple and straightforward. Beyond that, you'll notice that we're going to have t So t And so the way the tail light is designed is out of the box, you can take it out, plug it straight into the ve If you want t And then instead of just steady blinking the tail light, you are going to get a sequential action through those three bars creates a really neat look. So if you do want to go ahead and wire up that sequential video, you're just going to have one extra little step, but it's really not too complicated at all. And we're about to show you exactly what you need to do to get that accomplished. So you will notice there's one t So if you have an LED package ve If you are a halogen package ve It is only used for your LED package ve All right, first step to any tail light install is to get the factory tail lights off the ve There's a bunch of ways that you can do that using your factory Mopar toolkit. There is a T40 bit in there. It's a little plastic screw that you can just undo. So I'm not going to focus too much on it. Just rip your old tail lights out and I'll meet you back here at the table. All right, it is pretty dark in here. And so for those of you that don't know, there's t I And then Be careful as t It's not a super heavy tail light. There's not a lot of tension on t So just make sure that you have it seated nice and properly and you don't strip it up. That is what that little dillabob looks So there's that 10 millimeter outside T40 inside. Once that is out, the actual tail light itself, don't worry if it gets loose There actually is a clip that's holding it in. Barely, that clip's normally holding it in. Pull back on t You're going to depress that connector. And if it doesn't want to come out And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to push then I'm going to depress that plug and see how easy that came out. I didn't fight it at all. So pus I needed to clear that locking tab. Super simple. What we're going to do is we are going to take a five millimeter Allen key with the five millimeter Allen key. We're going to crack loose these bolts that are on the front right here because these are actually what are going to hold the tail light to the ve You'll notice that as you do this, just T You can see how that is going to go just Once again, see and see. You've got your threaded little inserts. T You can see how it lines up those bolts perfectly to the existing holes. Now, if for some reason t So you can go ahead and kind of bend t I even sometimes when I'm doing it, we'll pinch t But as you start to thread these bolts in, that's what's going to suck it into the ve We're going to do it in just standard plug and play mode. So standard plug and play mode. Once again, if you have halogen ve Since we have the LED package, we are going to leave that connected. Obviously, we aren't going to be using the light acro harness and t If you do have a blind spot monitor, t If you don't, I still And so I'm actually going to use one of the provided zip ties and kind of zip tie that once I have it in place. So here, we'll just do that right now. All right. So to install t So once again, it can just kind of hang out and ride. Now you'll notice the back of t Also has these two little metal tabs here. So those two little metal tabs are what are going to hold it from the inside to t So you want to be careful as you put t So I And you'll be able to feel if you're grabbing that little bracket be And you can see pretty darn good on t So you'll see, I mean, it takes a little bit of finesse because if you push too hard with the bolt, it actually springs that t I have had, if you really wanted, you could tape that piece on the backside to the body of the ve So that way, as you push the bolt in, it doesn't kind of push the metal away. I didn't really struggle with it too bad, but just t I'm also going to tighten down. And before I fully tighten it down, I'm going to make sure that it is lining up perfectly square between all of the different panel gaps and everyt It is. So we're going to fully tighten that down. You don't have to tighten it down. Crazy tight, but obviously just snug. You'll kind of see when that foam starts to compress around the edge. And then you can see how it's locked in on the side. I can't, I mean, I don't, can't explain how hard I'm pulling, but there's no way that's going to get pulled off. T God, that looks so good. So that literally is all it takes to install t It's mounted with those two screws, fully plug and play. Just remember to disconnect the plugs appropriately, depending on if you are a LED package versus standard lighting group option. All right. So obviously as you can see, installing it the standard way, super, super straightforward. Now, in order to activate the sequential turn signal so that the bars sequence when you throw on your blinker, you have to run wire up to that factory turn signal. It is very easy to do, but I'm going to kind of show you everyt So we're going to go ahead and take t We're going to go to the front of the ve So in order to get that sequential turn signal as discussed, we are going to run a cable from t On the driver'side, you can actually get to where t If you don't want to deal with the blindness of reac You can do that on the driver'side. I notice that's really not necessary. So I'm going to find t All right, to drop there's two down here and there's one big one up there in that corner. So I'm going to go ahead and get some panel popper tools, 10 millimeter and just drop t In order to get these front ones, there is a little bit of a technique to t So I So once again, I will do that once more. So I will put the panel popper up the way that it goes on the rivets and then I just kind of push up against the fender. The arm out in angle. Fender light, wire goes all the way across. T So once again, you can reach that from the driver'side, reach down, pull it off the body and you're good to go. T So feel free if you decide if you want to drop the fender on the driver'side or try to muscle it and grab it. Once you pull that little red keeper back, you're going to just unplug that plug nice and easily. We're going to throw that harness adapter in place and run some water. So t You unplug it, that means that the ground wire is on that side. So same deal. Our plug right here is going to go with our keeper facing down and the black wire lines up to the other black wire. You'll hear a nice click. Then it's the same way for t So that way they're always down and all the black wires line up. Technically you wouldn't So just don't do that. When you line it up too, it shouldn't, you shouldn't have to force anyt So I mean just make sure that it clicks together nice and smooth. And then t Now that we have our harness adapter installed right here, we're going to run t So I can feel that wire right here on top of the frame rail. There is existing looms and hoses that run up here. So let me sit back and pull t So I've got a zip tied to t Get that back up. And then from where that is literally just comes straight up into here. So t Once again, t If I do not hook t Since we have ran everyt To button everyt Super straight forward, easy to do, not a problem. The one t So what I And now that rivet is completely tight. As you can see, t Alright, so reinstalling t So what I'm going to do is I'm going to seat the front edge into here first. Then I'm going to line these holes up over the back of the rivets, kind of where they came from. All you need to do is replace all of these little fir trees that came out. Alright guys, that's everyt Feel free to like, Really appreciate it. Enjoy your new tail lights.
