We haven't seen each other in over a year now. Lots have been going on, lots of changes have been happening. We're in a new workshop, as you can probably tell. I'll explain that all in a future video very soon. House of Talk have also been making some changes with their LT230 adapter. T It doesn't sound The first time I'm using t How you fit it to the gearbox and how you fit it to the transfer box. It is quite simple, but we'll sometimes get some questions on it. So hopefully t So in the LT230 adapter, you will get the main event. T One side is to bolt to your transfer box and one side is to go to your gearbox. You will also get a shaft, w And you will get two bulkheads. One of them is to go onto your LT230, so that's the transfer box side. And one is to go onto your gearbox. So it's very self-explanatory. Let's just bolt it together. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold your horses Lawrence. Before we start putting bolts in, we need to fit the seal in the adapter. Just Make sure you get it the right way up and make sure you don't damage the seal, putting it in either. The best way I've found is to get a large circular object. I'm using a socket in t Sometimes it takes a few attempts, but you'll get it. The final t You should feel it stop moving after a w Now the next step is quite simple. It's installing the shaft onto the gearbox. But a lot of people have a lot of questions about t It leaves them throwing their hands in the air, wondering why they ever started the job. So all you need to do is get your shaft, push it onto the back of here. You t But the questions come when they grab all the end of the shaft and they wheel it because it moves. And it moves quite a lot more than you'd expect. Most of that play is in the output shaft of the gearbox. It's completely normal. You'll find that every single conversion that I have ever done will have that play in the gearbox. Once you put the adapter plate on and then put t So yes, it will move Just to know before I put the bolts in, if you're using the House of Torque engine and gearbox mounts in whatever setup you buy them in, t If you are using these, then you'll need to drill these two holes out. So I'm going to do that because I'm using them. So all we're doing here is drilling the threads out of the adapter. I find a 10. 5mm drill bit does it best. Right, you are nearly ready to put your LT230 onto your adapter. There's just a couple of the first t Sometimes these get stuck in the gearbox side when you split them, but we need to make sure that they are in the transfer box side because they fit into the adapter and make sure it's all lined up properly. The second t And once we've done that, let's put them together. Right, I'm doing it on a bench, so I've brought the gearbox over to one side so that the transfer box can go on. You might be doing it in the car, in w You'll just be able to lift it up and slide the shaft on. The other t Because I'm doing t Well, there we go, and now that is ready to go back in your car. However, for me, it is not ready to go back in my car because with the new House of Talk adapter, you have to fit the transmission plug before you put the transfer box on the adapter, w Saying that, just before I end the video, people always ask me why I And the reason, well, there's two reasons actually. One is that every time I need help with a conversion, Will is always there. I just send He is very good You don't get that customer support from anywhere else. And the second reason is more specific to the actual adapter. T And that makes sure that everyt All the way through the output shaft of the gearbox, into the adapter shaft and into the LT230 input shaft, that is all perfectly aligned because of the mac That is the reason why I always That's going to be quite the challenge. So, we'll see you then.
