RC Jack Talk back again. Today we're going to be going over the new DRC Pro Stock that I got and I'm going to be running in the 17. 5 class here. I'm going to go over a couple setup tips, how to build one of these things kind of, and what I'm running in it. I'm going to move you on over to the bench and get things started. So here we have the Drag Race Concepts Pro Stock. 5 class. I'm currently running a Tikan RS Pro Black with a Phantom 17. 5 that I got from Rotor on. We had a couple of questions I saw so let me go ahead and grab a tool and pull a wheel off. Actually here probably easier just for me to grab another hub. Somebody asked how the, that's not good. That's down in Neverland. We're never going to see that hub again. Alright, well we'll look for that one tomorrow. It's a little too dark out here right? That's why I should have been doing it over my cow or seamat. I wouldn't have lost it. Oh, there it is. Alright, so then getting a lot of questions about the hub and how to attach this for gear. So this is your hub right? The tire mounts on the hub, the axle goes through it. This is how you clamp it down. These screws are here on the side. So your gear goes on the back. Okay, pop the gear on, tight fit. But once you pop that thing on, you just line up the holes and put the two little screws in that come supplied with the hub and that's how you hold your gear on. And then you slide it together and bolt your tire on the outside as Okay, that's one of the questions I got. The next question was, was body posts and how to adjust those? And just so we can make sure all this is filming right, let me make sure that this was set up in the right view for Alright, so here we'll zoom in a little bit more. See if we can get it to focus. Alright, there you go. So now that we got that was another big question. So first thing for body posts that you're going to want to do, and I said this in other videos and I'm going to say it again, is you need to go and pick up some of these proto form raised body mounting tool. This works perfectly for mounting bodies on these body posts. If you've already got your body painted or whatnot, they're magnetic. Make sure you pick yourself up some of those. Next up, these body posts that when they come, they come super long. And yeah, you need to cut them. So I cut mine down pretty small. I So the bodies, I'm not really ready to release and show on camera yet because I'm still working on them. So I can't show you that right now, but these pins are held in by a set screw. So when you're out on race day, if you want to add or remove the amount of downforce, the rear of your car or the front of your car is pudding, you can adjust your body posts up or down a little bit. So basically just pick yourself up a hacksaw, a little handsaw. That's what I use. I'll show you right now. They're just plastic, but you want a nice cut on them so they slide into the al So I just picked up one of these Milwaukee hand jab saw things. You can change the blade. It'super cheap at Home Depot, I cut all sorts of stuff with it, metal, plastic, put it in the vise and just cut it where you want it. As far as measuring it up, I just go a little bit at a time depending on how tall the body sits. If you're running the Nova wagon body, obviously you need them to be long, but if you're running one of the, So it depends on body. You're going to have to play with it a little bit. Just cut a little bit at a time. Yeah, go from there. You can also, one of the things you can do when they're super long, put your body on there and then use your dial caliper, measure from the bottom, And then that will allow you to fine tune it from there. The other thing is steering. Okay, so steering on this car, this is how I set it up. It comes with the drag link in the front, so I put the servo backwards through the rod ends that he supplies with me or with the kit. On the front right here, got it hooked up to a nice MKS HV69 servo and all that's being controlled by a Gropner receiver. And yeah, basically 17 five car ready to go right here. Everything supplied, wheelie bar bolted on, put on the adjustment rod and you're good to go. Get yourself a DRC car and come out and run the 17 five class with us. Right on guys.
