PD Tuning

What's happening guys? Today is a really fun video here and it's been a long time coming honestly But today we are starting the pro tuning process with the Mustang EcoBoost Using the Cobb access port. If you guys have been following my channel for a while, I am I'm super excited I've been getting a little bit stagnant with the car in terms of the power level So I t I purchased the 93 octane tune the lifetime tuning package from Ryan at PD tuning And we also purchased the E30 tune So once we're done tuning for 93 We're gonna increase it to E30 and see what type of power we make but for today We're just uploading the base tune the base map from Ryan And we're gonna do two poles in the car in fifth gear and give them some base kind of data log results So we can start getting our revisions. I'm gonna flash the car here right now and then yeah, we'll get the process started Before we get into tuning the Mustang with PD tuning there was a couple these are the NGK 6510 plugs w So I knew we have fresh oil in the car So I think it is ready to start this PD tuning process and I'm super excited I know Alright guys, we got the Cobb access port hooked up into the car I'm just using a little mount here that connects it to the vent We'll see we might move it over there And we got it connected up to the OBD two port underneath here with the supplied cable from Cobb with the access port now I'm gonna clean all t So right now it'still running the Cobb stage one tune So let's go ahead and flash this is probably gonna take Let me see if I can get you a shot of that kind of But that is it PD version one so I'm gonna select t I'm not gonna do that I don't have one here. So we're gonna roll the dice, but We'll be right back Look at that Change map successful Please turn off ignition key or turn the ignition key to the off position for at least 15 seconds between Starting the ve Sorry All right, turn that off now. Let's go real quick and show the current map See where you flashed Tyler Passano PD version one see if you can see that okay guys well it is It's flashed so this process really didn'take very long at all this one I mean maybe five minutes now that could be the case because I already had a tune on the car or it just Was way quicker than I thought but about five minutes and Let'see if she starts up here It looks normal guys, I don't know why I was worried right Looking pretty good So I'm gonna let it kind of just warm up for a few minutes and then I'll go into talking about the data log Parameters that Ryan has requested that I That's awesome People are crazy. I guess I'm just trying to get a feel for it here before I do the poles So I think we're gonna save that for right here, but Yeah, I'm gonna try to get a good area here. Hopefully there's not a ton of traffic and we can do our fifth gear pole, so Here we go, we're gonna try it fifth gear 3000 rpm All the way to six All right, we got one before we All right data logging and pole throttle All the way to six k 45,000 And That is log n But yeah, now it's just time to take How's that? All right, so we're back in the driveway now after our two data log poles and I just want to kind of give you my thoughts on the data logging process and kind of what the tune felt like kind of Against the cob stage one tune that I just We only 43 psi of boost so this tune this base map obviously is It's just the base man that it is just to get a baseline of where the car is right now and It is not meant to It's a starting point. So the car is very mild right now, but I hope I did those I know from everyone I've talked to I mean pretty much best in the business and Does a lot of these tunes. So I'm very excited if you are running e30 as well let me know I know that tune in particular from PD tuning is pretty cool and Makes significantly more torque. So I'm excited. I What can I say? But anyways guys that's gonna conclude today's video This is gonna be a multi-part kind of series if you will of tuning the eco-boost Mustang Because I can't obviously get it all done in one video I'm gonna send these data logs to Ryan and then he's gonna take a couple days tweak some stuff send me some revisions and I will put it on the car and we'll make a video on that too and kind of my impressions of those revisions and kind of feeling the power come on with each Revision he sends so guys if you I will catch in the next video.
