The Fronczak family has been offering automotive services to the downriver area for more than 50 years. Beginning in 1962 and after many years of managing and running shops owned by others, the late Dave Fronczak began his first gas station and auto repair facility in Wyandotte, and has remained in the city since. The initial shop and the birthplace for the eventual Fronczak's Garage was on the corner of Northline and 9th, called Ford and 9th. This location remained until 1967 when Dave left to begin a new and larger shop on Fort St. and Grove, which was called Dave's Marathon. Then in 1978, Fronczak's Garage was born when Dave again moved, this time to the corner of Biddle and Goodell, where it remained until 2012. Unfortunately, Dave passed in 2006, but his son, Walter had been working with him since 1970 and was ready to take over. Throughout the various locations, Fronczak's Garage have had the privilege of building many strong relationships with the downriver community.
