My reputation rides on the work that I do and the work I do is no better than the parts I install. Although some customers want to bring in quality parts, most bring in the cheapest parts they can find. Face it--that is why they are supplying their own parts! If the brakes I serviced squeak or if the window regulator I install fails in six months, it isn't the supplier they blame, it is me. I have learned this lesson too many times in my lifetime. Every once in a while I break down and allow it--almost every time it ends up coming back to bite me. I will not install customer supplied parts, and I will not install inferior parts, even if the customer requests it. They get it done right or they get it done somewhere else!
