Today we're going to go over physical damage, what to look for, and how to report it. So why it's important to report physical damage is it doesn't fix itself. It only gets worse as time goes on. So if we could save the money up front when it first happens, if you were If we don't report it, then it comes out of our pocket and we have to spend that money on it. Well, reporting physical damage, the most important that's where you're going to find it. If you're not doing your pre-trips and you miss a tire and that tire blows out, or if you get pulled into a scale and the DOT officer sees a bad tire or sees a fluid leak or a light out, that's a violation on our part. So always inspect your ve It just saves time and money and a lot of headache. Some t You want to look for bad tires. That would be anyt We Always check your lights. You want to make sure your lights are working. If you have a turn signal out on the back of the trailer and you don't know it and then you get That's on us. If we could report that sooner and get it handled sooner, it's way better for everybody. Check all your fluids. You want to make sure that's not DOT does look for that. If you have a big oil leak, we could get dinged for that. If you find somet Don't just hold on to it. We want to know right away so we can get it handled right away. It's all about safety. It's not about blame. It's not about getting in trouble. It's about responsibility and taking accountability. If you see it, say it, let somebody know. Either let your DM know or let Greg in the shop know. You can even call Amanda and let her know. If there's an accident, she should be your first phone call.
