Oh boy, trying to go fast is what sparked my passion more than anyt My passion for racing became an actual job and not a hobby. That really made the mac Tim Wilkerson's Capital City Mac We're a general automotive, diesel mac We do a lot of cylinder head work, block work, crankshafts, a lot of repairs on cylinder heads and block both. Well been in business since 1999 in our racing industry. It really was a very time cons So that's one reason that I pursued trying to find good equipment to repair our own stuff. It was just very, very handy. Plus the dollar savings at the end of the day were tremendous. We actually own a nitro funny car team and that became an integral part of our team to be able to repair and fix all of our own stuff. So as the years went on, we got more, better equipment and that's where Rottler came in. They're seat and guide mac They're CNC honed and they're four and five axis mac Really work out well. As a kid I was a hot rodder. I grew up in the greatest era there was in the 70s when cars were cool. I had to have a cool car to have a girl. So that's how I got going. Technology progresses and so does the internet. People wanting some really weird stuff done. We install what's called a mid sleeve that Darden builds and a lot of Hondas and Subaru's and Volvos. Darden's been a big help to us with that. The diesel stuff, boy it's good money and people want it fixed right and quickly and that's really become a good backbone of our industry and we still see plenty of local racers with dirt track cars and we do a few blown motors for tractor pullers and things Between C Louis I'm the only guy that's got a lot of t I can tell you that. My name is Jeff Jacobs and I am the shop manager and I do all the short walk work here. I run four of them over here. We have two of the Rottler Homes and we have F79 and also the EM69HP. Thing I t We've become partners with Rottler and they're also in partners with Total Seal piston rings and them guys they just do a terrific job in making a seal up engines and it's really been a good relations One of the most unique projects we've worked on is we fixed a cylinder head off of a John Deere combine and t It spun a cam bearing and we had a sleeve made for it. We put it in our mac Put a sleeve in it, re-bored the sleeve, put a cam bearing in it and they're still running it two or three years later and did it for a low price and so we actually got a ton of business out of that one project. Just the technology just leaps and bounds of what it was five years ago let alone 10 or 15.
