As I discovered at a new high-performance car shop that just opened on the east side of town, meet the driving force behind the Renault Speed Lab, and tonight, someone to know. On the track, the fastest I've gone, I believe, is around 160 miles per hour. 0 to 60 in 2. 8 seconds. Road course racing has long been a hobby for He-Yoon, but what started out as a need for speed for the local businessman is now more of an art. You want to get faster, you want to hit the right corners at the right apex. It's a finesse, and you want to be smooth. And while that's ultimately up to the driver, souping up your ride can help too. Which brings us to the Renault Speed Lab in eastern Reno. There's always been a need for a shop So, he decided to open up this high-performance shop himself. This has been a dream of mine for years on end, even when I was in high school. He teamed up with fellow car enthusiast, Jim DiPietro, who's worked in the business for 35 years. The general manager of this shop says while they're geared towards higher-end European and Asian cars, they'll improve any make and model. We want people to be able to get the most out of their car, and that's what we're here to help them with tuning and performance modifications, customizing. Take this Audi R8, for example. Looks pretty stock, right? But the nearly half-million dollar car makes 1,300 horsepower to the rear wheels. Yeah, you can see where it's burned through. So, we're doing some exhaust wraps to contain the heat within the pipes. And in the short few weeks they've been open, racers are already taking notice. The Renault Speed Lab is the talk of the sports car subculture. In fact, check out all the beauties that pulled up to celebrate its grand opening. We're talking five million dollars in cars. We had the kids with the hot rod Hondas, to the older people with the Lamborghini Murcielago that was in here, and the GT-R, and the Z06 Corvette.
