Howdy, Howdy, here is Chris and I am very excited, because today we can start the repairs at the Chevy Trail Boss. We will repair t I'll show you exactly how we do it. In today's episode it is about, to grade the metal. First, we have to make sure t Here is a lot going on. Several folds are on the loading area was sucked directly into the wheel bearing and we have to pull it out. Several folds were created through t So let's get started and do somet First, we have to bring t I use my train tower with my chain train, w I use a flat hook and a 2 x 4 inch wood to get a wider train on t I also use a lineal to check the progress of the train. I have to pull t So I will set the car so that I have to pull it. That starts by loosening. Exactly here I pulled. So that starts by loosening, but t So we will pull it out a little. Let'see if we get somet Now I have a small increase here. So I will cl That's exactly where it has to be. There has to be a little more space. But if I cl Now t We have to bring it out here. We have to get it out here in t So I use the lineal to get a good idea of where my caves and depths are. I have a few small areas where I pulled too much and a few lower areas. So we will pull somet After I have brought the wheel bearing back in shape, I will remove t We want nice, clean metal to pull out t We have exchanged the tip and the handle. And we can directly weld t Now we have to change the settings on the G90E. The adjustment for t So we will switch to t And I will just leave it at the Now weld the wire exactly in the middle of t OK, now where we have welded the rolled wire, t Let's connect the pull-out. And see how good that works. Now I just pull a little bit to see how good that comes out. And you could connect t But now I'll just try to pull it. It doesn't move as I want it to. So I'll now hammer on a guide hammer and see if it can pull out as desired. Wow, that really works well. I don't know if you can see that on the camera. But the cut-out, w So if you look down on the side, you see the cut-out, w Now I go to t It still has to come out a little further. But we work t And we just make the line along and then come back until everyt I'm impressed how good that works. I wouldn't have thought that it would work so well. Yes, I pulled it too much there. We take the wire and look at it. You can see here that there is still a small depth up here. But the wire or wire, as always you want to call it, has really worked well and pulled it out. Let's try it here. Pull t Okay, we've welded everyt Now I've left out a Yes, there is and then it went over t So I didn't weld that because I didn't want to pull it out. At some points, it was in my opinion not clean enough and there were a few color marks. I don't know if it's going to weld well, but we're going to pull it out with the guide hammer now. We start with t Hold on, let's Oh, a lot has come out. I'm pulling a little more out here and see if we can get a little better before we use hammer and dolly. After the second pull, t We clean the metal and continue with the middle section. I continue using the G90E and then we use the hammer and dolly tool to grade the rest of the sheet. Now I'm pulling the dolly in the middle of the dolly is created around the dolly. T As soon as I've removed t I can't put my dolly directly on the outer sheet. But I can still support it with the dolly and pull the dolly off. With hammer and dolly, you follow the following steps. You take the dolly, put it on the dolly be I'm going to use the G90E to work all the small recesses and to grade them. If you want a more detailed explanation for the work of a dolly, I have a complete video on it. I'll leave the link to it at the end. Now I'm going to remove the repair spot and tap it off. I'm looking for elevations that I might have overlooked. I want to tap it so that I don't have any problems with filling when I'm blending. I'm changing to my dr This is a dr So I have a dolly be The metal dr It is very flexible. You don't want to put a lot of weight on somet If it's not solid, you won't get it straight or it will be very difficult. So that's a great technique. Keep an eye on a future video about the metal shr If you're looking for products or tools for your repair, you can find the link to my shop in the description.
