Gonna finish up the inspection on the 57 Chevy Bel Air with the topside items from the inspection and road test that I conducted today. So I'm gonna run down. I do recommend to tune up. I did check spark plugs. We're gonna replace those. However, the ignition system is in good shape. We don't have to put a distributor cap, rotor, or condenser. Everyt I'm gonna go ahead and change the fuel filter, clean the air filter, adjust timing, fuel mixtures, base idle, raise the idle up just a little bit. It's a little too low and lubricate the linkage on the carburetor. When I conducted the, I recommend an oil service. It looks And even though you don't have a lot of myos on it, you still want to get the oil change. So I have placed that unless you've had the oil change somewhere else, w Just let me know. I have included the oil and filter on the recommended list of repairs. During the oil service, I went ahead and conducted the safety test, w Park lights, you had a fault. I turn on the Park light circuit. You have right hand side is good and the back lights are good, but the front left is out and there's no turn indicator on the left side. Also on my list w I can hear it, but it's not making a noise. So my recommendation is for costs, these horns are very expensive. The reproductions are close to $200 each. We can leave these horns here in place and I can install a universal horn, maybe down below here somewhere out of the way. And I'll connect the wire to it so that you do have a horn that works and functions. If you would 25 for the reproduction horns. And again, I'll put it somewhere out of sight so you don't have to look at it, but it will still operate. We're looking good. Turn indicators faulted again. The same left hand front has failed and I recommend replacing that bulb socket and getting that fixed for you. Moving down the list, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, we're going to do during a tune-up. Brake wear is good, w Check for the power steering leak. I already went over that on the past video. Road test t So I've been keeping a cardboard under there and it was clear after 24 hours, but there is some drips that I noted on the past video that you can check out for the undercarriage. But not They're not excessive leaks, just annoying small drips. Let'see. Good power, no hesitation from the carburetor base engine. Idol too low, needs adjustment. Smooth s Everyt Some of the items I added was fix the exhaust rattle. I will install a pipe hanger bracket to move the pipe away from the X-frame and that should get you in good shape so that you don't feel that rattle or hear it when you're driving down the road. Again, fixing the front left hand turn indicator, I have it priced out. These again are diagnostic estimates. I'll get more into it once I get in there. And also the horn fault. And then I have your total down there at the bottom, $12. 44 is the estimate. Just let me know based on watching the videos and reviewing the written estimate, which you guys would Overall the car is in really good shape. The cooling system is doing great. The radiator that I put in, the hoses, thermostat, I don't see any leaks present on the coolant system. So we're looking good there. And the battery was replaced not too long ago, back on March of 24. So we're looking good there as well. I've got an overflow tank to capture any runoff. So everyt She's looking really good. Tires look I'll check out air pressures and make sure everyt But it was a good road test. I t Just needs a little tuning and adjusting and a few little items fixed so that you're looking good going down the road. T Hope you enjoyed watc Bye.
