Anderson started in 1919. Anderson was a streetcar conductor. He was granted a Chevrolet dealership and from that it grew to two Chevrolet dealerships and two Oldsville dealerships over the years. Anderson was an iconic name in Baltimore. My father started with him in 1949. My father was one of those people that you meet just a couple times in your life. Just a good honest sincere person and in the course of 13 years he went from salesman to president and being offered an opportunity to buy the dealership. After I graduated from college they put me in the used car department and I absolutely loved it. It's all about relationships with people. Our youngest daughter is a fashion designer in New York and the oldest daughter is married to Jeff Miller. I think Jeff's got what it takes and what it takes to me is not being slick or clever. It's being a sincere person with the right kind of values, the right kind of ethics, the right kind of morals and he's highly respected by our employees and by our customers. He's just doing a really fine job. I'm just thrilled to be able to mentor him now My father had a saying that if you treat your employees and you treat your customers the way you'd want to be treated they'll do the same for you. That's the way we've run the business. We treat people with respect and as a result of that we've had three or four generations of families buy cars from us. We've had families buy 20 and 30 cars from us and they can come back and usually find the same salesman. We've got professionals. We have the finest craftsmen in town. I think the fact that we've been around for a hundred years speaks to the fact that we do go the extra mile to make people smile. Thank you to everybody for placing your trust in us for all these years and we don't intend to ever let you down.
