We are on another River City road trip and if you've lived in Jacksonville for a long time or even for a minute, This is not a car dealership. This is the collision center and Dwayne White is with me right now and we're taking a little tour. It'so clean in here. Did you clean up because were coming? Is that what you're doing? Actually, this is how we try to keep it on a daily basis, but we may have done a little touch up before you got here. Okay, that's a loud, that's a loud. And I love all the little noises I'm hearing. I can tell somebody is getting done, sucked out or whatever the process is. We're going to show you something really cool in just a minute. But before we do that, tell us a little bit about what kind of work you do here in the collision center. I'm familiar with the dings in the door because I'm that person that parks a little too close to. Right. But what else? So we are a BMW, Volkswagen, Mini certified collision facility. What that means is that we're all of our technicians are factory trained in BMW, Volkswagen and Mini. I would recommend that to anyone that's in a car accident that you do your research because that's probably the biggest concern in our industry. You want people that are trained on your vehicle to do a proper repair. Does that come up again down the line when So does it do you think matter down the road if you're with absolutely so when someone's in an accident and in particular they're not at fault. Someone hits them. There is something called loss of value. And if that vehicle is not repaired by a trained person and done properly, that loss of value is much more significant than when it's repaired by the proper people. So we're walking over here and you're going to tell us that not only are we going to see something that's new and exciting in the primer biz, but also is going to mean we're going to get our vehicle back a whole lot faster. That is a fact. So there are two types of primer, urethane primer that typically takes at least two hours from the time it's applied before it can be sanded and then the panel prep for paint with UV primer. It can be applied and then you can sand it and start prepping it for paint within 12 minutes. 12 minutes. Okay, that'something that is big. All right. And then once you've used it is your feet further benefit. I mean, it's not just because it's handy and quick, right? It's a good product. No, it's a great. Absolutely. It's a great product and the chances for having any problems from the primer are, I'd say on average about 80% less. Okay, let's play show and tell what you got. Okay, so we have Eric Hillis who is going to be applying the primer for us. And one thing you'll see that we know right off the bat is different from a conventional primer is it is actually transparent. The UV primer is transparent. So you'll be able to see the bodywork underneath the primer, whereas with the conventional urethane primer, it would be completely covered. So once he applies that primer, he turns the light on and that is the UV light. That's what's actually going to cure the primer. So now he's going to do that with the light? He's going to do that. And what happens is the time it takes for that light to warm up is the time that needs to flash the primer needs to flash before you actually dry it. So that's it'set up that way. And through the magic of television now that light, which I will not look directly into is all warmed up and he's ready to go ahead and dry it. Absolutely. So that's what he's doing is using the UV light which dries the primer completely. What you want to do is run it over the area for approximately 12 seconds. After 12 seconds, that primer will be completely locked in place. This must be such a fun process to see from beginning to end because I am a sucker for a good before and after photo. And that's what You get to see vehicles transform back to the way they looked when they first started off the lot. Absolutely. And it's very exciting for us when we're able to deliver it back to the customer and see how excited they are that their cars back to factory condition. They can act That would be so awesome.
