Welcome to Collision Specialists, I'm Joe Kent too. I'm taking you into a repair shop to show you a repair process and so you can see why Collision Specialists take the repair process to a T We're going to take you into a shop to show you how we're going to bring t After we disassemble the replacement of the structural part starts, I will be using resistance spot welding to duplicate factory spot welds. After we disassemble the ve It's a car tonic, it's a car liner, that will actually show us where the damage is and what we need to get corrected. After we get that corrected for the damage is diagnosed and every part is put back into location, then after that we can start the replacement process. The technician starts the removal of the damaged part by grinding every spot weld carefully and not damaging the panel attached to it. After the technician is done with the grinder, he then gets an air hammer to help loosen the damaged part to be removed. After he's done with the air hammer loosening the damaged panel, then he simply removes the damaged part. After removing the outer center pillar, additional damage is found to the center pillar reinforcement w Now the technician is using a car liner resistance spot welder to duplicate a factory spot weld on replacement parts. Ve Other methods example, MIG welding uses SS heat w Okay we just started the replacement here on the center post. We've already seen the damaged parts removed and now we're starting the replacement process and what we're looking to do here is duplicate the repair process For example here you see the factory spot welds from the manufacturer on here. We just duplicated that on t Now after replacing the damaged pillar reinforcement, he prepares to fit and prepare the replacement of the outer center pillar. And now the technician prepares to replace the outer center pillar by resistance spot welding and duplicate the factory spot welds. Also by putting every spot weld in identical location as a manufacturer. And now the replacement of the outer center pillar is complete and the factory spot welds have been put back to the original location as a manufacturer. We've removed the damaged parts and as you saw we replaced with new parts and we did the spot welding. Now the process we've done is actually doing the corrosion protection. As you can see well now the replacement parts here of course have been spot welded just Now we've put the corrosion primer, first we put an acid etc Then we can reassemble the door back on. Okay now we're on the refinis We've done the corrosion protection and we've refinished the panel. Here's what we look We're showing you here in the area where we actually refinished and clear coated the panels and brought it back to the pre-lock condition. Here the technician is applying the cavity wax by 3M to get into the areas not accessible to protect the panel against corrosion. We completed the process. We've already gone through the dismantling. We've pulled the ve We removed the damaged parts. We replaced the damaged parts. We did the corrosion protection. We refinished it and then we put the rust proofing in all the welded areas. So now here's our finished product. I hope you enjoyed our video and now you can see why Collision Reversus is a top rated auto body or fake shop.
