Our Apparatus Division’s flagship product is Sutphen Fire Apparatus. Sutphen is the oldest, continuously owned and operated fire apparatus manufacturers in the United States. Never reorganized, owned or operated by anyone other than a Sutphen, family atmosphere is apparent. Sutphen facilities are located in the greater Columbus, OH area with an eastern location in Monticello, New York. For high end, customized rescue products, Five Star Fire represents SVI Trucks of Loveland, Colorado. SVI, a family owned and operated company is known for their high quality, durability and customization for Rescue, Haz-Mat, Command, Communication, Special Operation Vehicles and Rescue Boats. A small detailed oriented company, their pride shows in the quality of their product! Five Star Fire’s Equipment Division represents a wide variety of products which includes: Turnout Gear, Helmets, Gloves, Boots, Wildland/Forestry Gear, Foam, Nozzles, Monitors, LDH Appliances, Hose, Reflective Safety Equipment, Lighting, Adapters, Gauges, Testing Equipment, Generators, Light Towers and a large assortment of hand tools. Five Star Fire offers a full Fire Apparatus Service Center, not only servicing the fire body, but the chassis also. Five Star Fire is a “licensed” new truck dealer in the State of CT, MA, and RI. Our certifications to work on equipment include: Hale, Waterous & Darley fire pumps; Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins, MBE Engines & Allison Transmissions. We are the regional repair center for Sutphen, American LaFrance, LTI, Snorkel and Tele-Squirt brand aerials. We offer preventative maintenance programs; fire apparatus upgrades/refurbishments and in station mobile service. Our technicians are EVT trained. Five Star Fire offers 24/7 road service and has two (2) fully equipped service vehicles and one (1) fire equipment delivery vehicle.
