I'm the manager at the Auto Hobby Shop here at Fairc I would be remiss if I did the start for retirement appreciation day by saying thank you. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your dedication. And as a fellow retiree, I say welcome to the Auto Hobby Shop and I want to talk a little bit about what we do here. T Make your life a little easier when it comes to your automotive needs. And so by that, I say here we go. The Auto Hobby Shop has been here a lot longer than I have, but I've been here for 20 years. I am the manager here. And here at the shop we have probably 60 good years of automotive experience with the staff we have here at the shop. The Auto Hobby Shops were designed as just A place for folks to come on their off time, give them something to do while they're on base, especially We offer a place for them to come and tinker with their ve We can help teach them what they need to know about their ve So we have a lot to offer and we want to make sure that you all understand that we're here for you to take advantage of what we have. We are a 21-bay facility, 15 of w Other bays are dedicated to shop equipment that we have that is at your disposal. We have 10 automotive lifts, one of which is a low profile lift for you guys that ride these new low profile cars, We get a lot of big, long quad cab extended bed, dually pickup trucks in here for So, and a little bit of everyt We also have a motorcycle lift, w It can capacity up to 2,500 pound motorcycle for those of you who Also with our facility, we have an attached car wash, an automated, fully touchless car wash. We recently replaced t We also have two self-service bays for your car wash needs, and those bays are open 24 hours a day. The auto shop, auto hobby shop here is open from Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. We do ask at all work stops at 5. 30 so we can get cleaned up and give us all your money, w So, some of the things that we also provide here in the shop, several years ago, when we no longer had an automotive service station on Fairchild Air Force Base, we took it upon ourselves to get our guys certified in ASC and start doing some actual work ourselves on vehicles, just We do oil changes, we do a lot of break work here. We do specialty things Unfortunately, we can't get into, because we're a small staff, we can't get into a whole lot of huge work. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to repair transmissions and do complete engine breakdown and rebuilds. But we have those facilities, if you all want to tackle that yourself. We do also have a bead blast cabinet that we use glass bead media so it's not very distrustable to the metal, but at the same time does a great job of cleaning off rust and dirt and debris in order to get your parts cleaned and ready for painting or whatever you plan on doing with them. So we have guys in here that use that cabinet to do restorations on Model T's and Model A's and bicycle frames. So it kind of runs the gamut. The fact that we do service work gives us an opportunity to provide that one more step to help out everyone here on the base and retirees living off base. We know it's not easy. We know it's expensive. Our rates are competitive or better than anyone in town. We pride ourselves on trying to give you the best professional outcome to the job because everybody on t So we have started providing that service over the last 10 to 15 years and we hope you'll take advantage of that. We service a huge GSA fleet on base here. We do service that GSA ve So we really do offer and run the gamut of t A few other pieces of equipment I'd Besides I told you about the Sandblaster, we also have tire mac We do tire balancing but that is a paid service. But the tire mac We have more specialty tools than you could possibly imagine. You could probably read some of the t And if you were to look at Fairc com and go to the Auto Hobby Shop, you'll see some testimonials in there as well about people who have used our facility and really So A lot of people will tell you that they've been to a lot of Auto Hobby shops around t And most of them will tell you by far that we offer more at t So with that being said, I will say again that if you have any questions, online at Fairc com under Auto Hobby, it gives our operating hours again. And it also has a list of the services that we provide, t So we do have, We are online with four vendors in the local community who provide us parts sometimes wit So we are, you can order right through us, you get stuck, you're working on your car, you find a part, So it's a great, great, great thing to have when you feel like, So it's kind of a nice place to be. And for those guys who are used to working in your garage, there's not Life is a lot easier when you have a facility So with that being said, I want to thank you again for your service.
