I've been building custom hot rods and street machines for over 40 years down. This project was challenging. We started out with the 1990 Chevrolet Caprice chassis and we had to cut it twice to extend it to a 120-inch wheelbase that this Batmobile requires. This machine is over 20 feet long and 8 feet wide. There's over 30 molds, fiberglass molds that had to be bonded together to make this machine. And my guys nailed it. I mean, it is absolutely beautiful. We used glass for a paint here, classic auto body. So we custom mixed the Mercedes Benz, cashmere, semi-gloss, black. Because of the overall length and raw surface that were spraying, we had to use two painters, simultaneously painting the vehicle at the same time and their patterns matched each other throughout the entire painting process to get an even, streak-free paint job. Well this machine took us over a thousand hours to complete. There's a lot of things that we had to do to it, including 50-caliber machine guns that raise up out of the front fenders, the turning turbine in the front end. It's got a flame thrower. It blows a 14-foot flame out the back. We've got all kinds of power canopies, power hood, power trunk. It's loaded with electronics. It's got a 500-horsepower Corvette engine in it. Shifter is out of a jet aircraft. It sits on air-ride suspension so it can raise up 8 inches at a time. We have power steering, power disc brakes, and these monitors, which help us see behind us and alongside us. This thing is wild. It's just so exciting to have it all come together. Everybody wanted to see what were doing. They're peeking in through the windows and just the faces on the kids and the neighbors. When were test driving the vehicle through the streets of Harris, it was just really exciting stuff. I'm real honored to be part of this project. I can't say enough about my staff. My guys worked so hard at this thing done. Were kind of under a deadline and we made it. We met our deadline. We met the quality and the performance. Everybody pitched in. It's an unbelievable project. We're all so proud to be part of it.
