T Before installing, be sure to check your state tint laws. Be sure to also purchase the Blackmagic tint application kit along with your window tint film. You will also need a non-scratch scrub pad for cleaning off dirt and residue. If you are installing Blackmagic instacling film, you may fast forward t Here are some quick tips before you install. Do not apply tint to residential windows. Do not apply tint to frosted, etched, leaded, cracked, hold, deeply scratched, flawed or otherwise defective glass. Do not apply tint to plexiglass, plastic or acrylic windows. And lastly, do not apply to front winds Another quick tip, apply film in a shaded, well-lit, dust-free location in temperatures between 40 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Step 1. Clean windows thoroughly inside and out. Be sure to not use ammonia, vinegar or household window cleaners. Step 2. Using a non-scratch scrub pad, remove all dirt and residue. After cleaning, wipe down the window with a low-lint cloth. Step 3. Identify w The liner is rolled to the outside and the tint is rolled to the inside. Step 4. Measure the ve Step 5. Wet the outside of the window with application solution and roll the film onto the glass. Be sure that the liner side is facing out. Step 6. Using a squeegee, temporarily secure the tint in place to the outside of the glass. Be sure to identify whether you have a frameless door or a door with a frame. Once you have done t Step 7. Using the window as your guide, cut off the bottom edge and the vertical edge that is towards the rear of the car. Pro tip. To maintain a consistent sharp cutting edge, it is recommended to continually break off worn blade sections. To do t Step 8. Spray the window under the tint with solution. Step 9. Slide the tint a half inch towards the rear of the ve Step 10. Using the window as a guide, cut the vertical edge at the front of the ve Step 11. Slide the tint a quarter inch towards the front of the ve Step 12. When finished sliding, there should be a quarter inch extra of tint on the front, back and bottom of the window. Step 12. Spray the tint with solution and using a squeegee, anchor the tint to the top half of the window. Step 13. Slowly open the door and roll the window down three inches. Step 14. Using the rolled down window edge as a guide, cut the top edge of the tint. Step 15. Using a utility knife, round the corners to ensure a proper fit. Step 16. With the window rolled up, spray solution on the tint and squeegee out any bubbles going from top to bottom. Pro tip. When the film is finished being trimmed to fit, you may see that fingers or gaps will appear on the bottom edge of the film. To eliminate them, use a heat source Use a squeegee to smooth out the film for a pro fit. Do t Step 17. Using your fingers or tape, separate the liner from the tint. Be sure to spray the tint with solution w Step 18. Leave liner still attached at the bottom. If using the tape method, with the tint on the glass, put a piece of clear tape in the same corners of both sides of the tint and liner and pull them apart. Step 18. With the window slightly rolled down, spray the inside with application solution. Step 19. Slide the tint into place on the inside of the window, leaving a 1u20448 inch gap at the top edge. Be sure the liner is facing towards the window. Step 20. Spray the tint with solution and squeegee the top half of the tint onto the window. Be sure to work your way down and out towards the edges. Step 21. Roll the window up and remove the bottom half of the remaining liner. Step 22. Slip the edges of the tint into the window gasket using your fingers and the finis Step 23. Work the squeegee from the top down, getting all the liquid and bubbles out from under the tint. Step 24. Wrap the tuck tool with a low-link cloth and remove any excess liquid. Once completed, be sure not to roll the tinted windows down for a minim Congratulations! Your side window tint installation is complete. Blackmagic InstaClean film is installed the same way as our regular tint films. However, it is also removable and can be installed on your home windows. Should you want to remove the InstaClean film you installed, just follow these simple steps. Start at the corner of the film and gently peel it off. Be sure to roll up the tint before storing it. Do not fold it. After the film is removed, wash the inside of the window with warm soapy water. If needed, clean the window of any residue with standard window cleaners. Before reapplying the film, clean it with soap and water. Dry it only with a lint-free cloth.
