Few people are more familiar with rust and corrosion than automotive technicians. In climates And even in less extreme climates, rust can bring vehicles to a halt. That's why the pros reach for Croyle. Big Jim's auto body of Beverly, Massachusetts has been in business since 1960. They use Croyle on their toughest jobs. We've been using Croyle for about six, six and a half years and we find it to be the most effective. The good thing about using a good quality penetrating oil is being able to penetrate New England rust. This tends to be the end result when you don't have a good penetrating oil. As you can see, they just snap off. You can't get them out of the holes. They don't come out very easily at all. If you use a good penetrating oil such as Croyle, this is your end result. You can see how rust of this bolt is. By spraying the threads and let it sit, it actually penetrates itself into the middle of the nut and lubricates the thread, which makes it a lot easier to take out. The reason we see so much rust here is because of the salt that's used. They use a lot of calci Just the air. We're right on the sea. Just the bone of the air gets all the stuff to rust up. The truck we're working on behind us here is New England truck. Typical rust. We're pulling the bed off it to a lot of rust work underneath. We'replacing the bed. We're going to put a new set of shocks in it while it's off. Make it easy to get the bolts to the top. This way, Bob, the bushings are worn out. We're going to pull down the torque bar. The bushings in the torque bar are gone. We're going to replace that while we're down there. This is a 67 Pontiac Le Mans. It's 54 years old. It takes all the car shows. We drive five, eight hours away. We drive them. We don'trade them This particular car, these older cars, they don't have a lot of the plastic under covers or carriages. We don't drive that much in the winter, but they still get exposed to a lot of rain and sand and everything else and stuff that residue on the roads. So things do rust up. So having the coil, it's going to penetrate a lot of these stuff. These are a lot of old nuts and bolts, different specialty bolts and stuff. If we don't get them off, we usually end up breaking them, which creates much more problems. Right now it gets in there, loosens up, we let it sit. You can get in there, crack them loose. It saves a lot of time. If you break something, now it sets you back that much further. Plus, you're going to get the right bolt. Some specialty bolts, So if we don't have them on hand, especially for this older stuff, we have to order things. The car is going to end up sitting longer, tying up the shop. Okay, we're going to remove this rear end. It's quite old, so we're going to use some foil. We spray the nuts and bolts down, let it penetrate and do its magic in there. We'll spray each of them and we'll let it sit for a little while. And then we'll put it back. We're going to finish doing the going on bolts. This one is really rusted up. So we're going to put amount of foil on there. Let that penetrate. Okay, we've let these sit for about 10 minutes or so. And the foil penetrates. I'm going to try and break these loose. Oh yeah, nice. These have quite a lot of corrosion on the threads and these. Now it's coming right off. Yeah, perfect. I'm going to drop the other side of the tail and arm. It came off loose. This can be a real pain if you don't get them loose. Sometimes you're running a lot of problems. You have to cut them off. And then if you can't get it out of the bushing and kind of weld themselves up in there, that came off nice and easy with that. They have a good penetrating oil. It boils down to, you're pulling on a bolt. If it don't free up, you're going to lose an elbow, finger. The amount of pressure you're going on bolts like he's pulling right now is, We And it's just a great product. So whether you're dealing with extreme elements or everyday automotive wear and tear, count on Croyol penetrance to bust the rust and keep vehicles on the road.
